The Annual Intensive has a new home! We were fortunate to reserve Holy Redeemer Center, a beautiful former Catholic monastery conveniently located near the Oakland Airport. We have a large building with a big meeting room, comfortable chairs, a huge commercial kitchen, plenty of beds in private or semi-private rooms, and expansive private grounds for walking contemplation. The Intensive will start at 7 PM on Thursday, October 21st, and will end around 9 PM on Sunday October 24th.

The Enlightenment Intensive combines contemplation with communication in a powerful process aimed at direct conscious knowledge of truth. The Annual Intensive is staffed by trained masters and open to everyone. Murray Kennedy has been leading Intensives for 25 years near Vancouver, BC. He is well loved by many people and is one of the best masters I have ever worked with. The full cost for room, food, and the Intensive is $375, or $350 if you're paid in full by September 22. You can register by mailing a $50 deposit or full payment to Osha Reader, Origin, Star Route, Sattley, CA 96124.

Can you really experience enlightenment in just 3 ½ days?

For over 40 years, since the Enlightenment Intensives began, people all over the world have confirmed attaining the same enlightenment experience that Truth Seekers have been striving to achieve for thousands of years, in just 3½ days with a simple meditative technique.

The Illumination Intensive is both simple and deeply mysterious. Though it is easy to do, it is life-altering spiritual work of the highest order and you will come up against your barriers and be challenged. We will support you to go for truth. De-identify with all false ideas and allow the authentic you to emerge

Many people who have taken Enlightenment Intensives have experienced profound and important enlightenments and transformational experiences in their lives and have developed a deep respect for the process. Some are moved to do this work for the benefit of others.

This year, Edrid and Osha will be offering a Masters Training Course at Origin. The course begins in January 2010 with a self-paced home study phase. It ends at a ten-day residential training at Origin, August 13 thru August 22, 2010.

The course is highly personalized and therefore limited to no more than 12 students. Those who wish to take the course must have taken Intensives and feel that they have personally benefitted from them.

Main Study Room at Origin

This course is designed to awaken your capacity to be an Enlightenment Intensive master. You will engage in an in-depth study of the principles and the techniques that a master needs to lead Enlightenment Intensives.

You will receive step-by-step comprehensive training in the core skills you will use when mastering intensives. These include:

• how to organize Intensives
• how to attract participants
• how to train participants in the enlightenment dyad
• how to manage the staff
• how to give the lectures
• how to handle problems that might arise
• how to maintain your ethical standards
• how to guide the group towards direct knowing of truth
• and many other skills.
  

Your training begins as soon as you are accepted as a student. In the home study phase, the student studies written materials and consults with Edrid and Osha. You should plan to start this work in early 2010 so that you have plenty of time to work through the study material. This program requires some committment, as the amount of material you will be studying is significant. Osha and Edrid will be available by phone and internet to guide students during this phase.

The ten-day residential portion (at the end of the individual study phase) is immersion training. You will live and breathe the EI during that period. Each day will be filled with lectures, discussions, drills, and study. The drills are designed to help develop the particular skills you will need for handling the various circumstances that may arise during Intensives, and you will lead short practice Intensives to gain practical experience at being a master. There will be ample time to get all your questions answered.

This course is demanding as well as a profound. Most have found it a deep and rewarding experience. It is not uncommon for students to experience life-changing insights and transformations in their progress toward being an EI master.
